Prologue: NULL — Introduction to the SeriesCurrent

Humanity has vanished.

The last documents of its civilization are a set of paper chronicles with pages but no words. The pages have been formatted; only discontinuous page numbers remain, and the total number of pages is unknown. Since material production no longer exists in posthistory, the only containers available for sealing the documents come from industrial-age remnants of prehistory, A.D. 20.8 century. The pages are permanently sealed in a fat-like substance. Sealing presupposes an intention to retrieve; here there is no such intention.

This work is planned as an eight-year serial creation in chapters. Taking a premonition of the future as its concept, the project begins at the end and unfolds backwards. This is its opening. Its aesthetic position is an inverted contemplation of antiquity: neither satirizing the present nor admonishing the world, only mourning.
